Great news for everyone looking for a little more information about the biorb magnet cleaner, or other biorb accessories. We will occasionally be writing posts about specific biorb accessories, and this week, the Biorb Magnetic Algae Cleaner. The Biorb Magnet Cleaner was created by Reef-One in order to better clean algae off the round biorb tanks. Similar magnet tank cleaner’s can be found for flat sided and square fish tanks, but are not suitable for the curved shape of the biorb. From the customer’s we have talked to and from our experience the biorb magnet cleaner does its job well but care should be taken to wipe down your tank before using it, or it will scratch your biorb tank.

“I’m not sure what the deal is but when I used this the first time, it scratched the heck out of my tank. The scratches are tiny but definitely disrupts the finish on the tank. It does do a good job of cleaning the walls though. I think if I put some cheese cloth or something between the outside piece and the tank it would help with the scratches.” (always wipe down the outside of your aquariumbefore using the magnet cleaner, or it will scratch your tank)
